RedAlert Emergency and Accuracy Disclaimer

1. For emergencies, contact emergency services

If you or someone else faces immediate danger, call 911 in the United States or the appropriate local emergency number. Do not wait for a RedAlert notification, report review, or support response.

RedAlert is an informational awareness service operated by MIRA Safety, LLC. It is not an emergency dispatch service, government warning authority, or replacement for official evacuation orders, public warning systems, local emergency services, or professional advice. Report submission and Contact Us do not request or dispatch assistance.

2. Information can be incomplete or wrong

Information may come from official sources, residents, third-party publishers, and automated classification. These sources have different coverage, update intervals, accuracy, and publication delays. A label identifying an official source describes the source; it does not mean the agency endorses RedAlert or guarantees RedAlert's display or delivery.

Some official datasets are historical archives rather than immediate warning feeds. In particular, FEMA IPAWS archive records can be delayed. An older or expired item must not be treated as a current instruction to act. Check source links, incident times, publication times, and expiry where shown. A discovered time can differ from the time an incident occurred or a publisher released an article.

Reports may contain mistakes, incomplete observations, incorrect coordinates, or outdated photos. Administrator approval is a publication decision, not a factual certification. Automated classification can assign an incorrect category, location, summary, or severity, and some news-derived items may be published under automated rules without an editor reviewing each item.

No alert does not mean no danger. A low-severity label does not prove an area is safe, and a high-severity label is not itself an official evacuation order. Consult current instructions from competent public authorities.

3. Notification receipt is not guaranteed

Notifications depend on your selected subscriptions, active account and device registrations, permissions, connectivity, batteries, operating-system behavior, and third-party delivery services. They may arrive late, arrive more than once, or never reach or appear on your device. A recorded send or provider acceptance is not proof that you saw a notification.

Ordinary push notifications may be silenced by device settings, Focus/Do Not Disturb, or app restrictions. Do not assume RedAlert has Apple's Critical Alerts entitlement or can override your device's alert controls. Keep official warning channels, local broadcasts, and other appropriate sources available.

4. Maps and locations have limits

Map points and boundaries are informational. They can be approximate, incomplete, or incorrectly associated with an incident. A report location may indicate where someone observed a condition, not the full affected area. Your subscription can refer to an area you follow rather than your present location.

RedAlert does not provide an assured safe route, certify that a road is open, or establish a safe evacuation destination. Follow road closures and official instructions. Do not enter a hazardous location because it is unmarked or appears outside a displayed boundary.

5. Use RedAlert safely

Do not operate RedAlert while driving or when it distracts you from a hazard. Never approach an incident, trespass, interfere with responders, or take risks to create a report or obtain photos. Use the Services only when doing so is safe and lawful.

If RedAlert conflicts with a current lawful instruction from an emergency authority, follow that authority's instruction. Decisions about health, evacuation, shelter, protective equipment, travel, or other safety-critical matters may require advice from qualified professionals. RedAlert content is not a substitute for that advice.

6. Corrections and continuing uncertainty

Conditions can change after an alert is published. We may update, correct, hide, or remove information as new information becomes available. A correction does not necessarily retract a notification already delivered or remove third-party copies. Verify material details directly with current official sources.

To report an inaccurate item, use an available in-app reporting feature or contact [email protected] with the report or alert reference and the correction. Do not delay emergency action while doing this. We do not promise emergency-response monitoring or immediate correction.

7. Relationship to other terms

Read this disclaimer with the Terms of Service at https://redalertus.com/legal/terms-of-service. Nothing here limits a right or excludes a liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit or exclude. A disclaimer does not remove our legal obligations or replace safe product design.
